Welcome to Chemistry and Principles in Technology (PIT)! My name is Deeanna Schoenfeld, and I am excited to start the 2019-2020 school year at Taylor High School. This is my sixth year of teaching science, and my fourth year of teaching at Taylor. I graduated from the University of Texas at Austin in 2015 with a degree in Biology-Neurobiology and immediately began an alternative certification program through Region 13. I am currently certified as a Science 7-12 teacher with an ESL supplemental designation.
For information about the class, please see our Google Classroom page (students should be automatically added based on their schedule).
Required supplies:
- Bring a fully-charged laptop daily (and/or bring your charger)
- Always have a pen/pencil handy and sharpened or with ink. Since we do a lot of calculations in Chemistry and PIT, I would STRONGLY recommend pencil or an erasable pen.
- A notebook/spiral/binder to keep notes
- Binder or folder to store assignments
Virtual tutoring times for 2020-2021 school year will be updated on the Google Classroom page.
In-person tutoring times (when school is in-person):
Before school- 7:50-8:15 am
After school- 4:00pm- ??
If you plan on attending tutoring, a heads up is always appreciated, as it lets me know how best to prepare for your individual needs.
