NOMINATIONS TO THE US SERVICE ACADEMIES
 
Each year, Congressman John R. Carter, Ranking Member of the Military Construction and Veterans Affairs Subcommittee on Appropriations, Co-chairman of the House Army Caucus and representative for the “great place”, Fort Hood TX nominates outstanding candidates to the United States Military Academy at West Point, NY;
United States Naval Academy at Annapolis, MD; United States Air Force Academy at Colorado Springs, CO; and the United States Merchant Marines Academy,
Kings Point, NY.
 
2020 TX 31 US Service Academy applications are now open! We invite you to go to carter.house.gov to download eligibility requirements, application forms, packet deadlines, and the 6th annual Central Texas US Academy Forum flyer for your students. 
 
2020 Central Texas US Academy Forum: Congressman Carter will host the 6th annual Central Texas US Academy Forum on Saturday, September 19, 2020 at
Cedar Ridge High School, Fine Arts Auditorium, 2801 Gattis School Road, Round Rock, TX 78664. This event is FREE, and no preregistration is needed.  Students,
parents, and educators will be introduced to the details of the nomination and appointment process. Representatives from all five military service academies,
university ROTC programs and area Congressional offices will be on site to make presentations and answer questions. The forum is a three-hour event and not a
come-and-go academic fair. We look forward to your participation.

COOLIDGE FOUNDATION 2020 - For Juniors!!
 
This scholarship is meant for applicants in their JUNIOR YEAR ONLY.
January 16, 2020 by 5 pm EST..
Money will be disbursed when entering college Fall 2021.
 
The Coolidge Scholarship is an annually awarded, full-ride, presidential scholarship that covers a student’s tuition, room, board, and expenses for four years of undergraduate study. The Coolidge may be used by recipients at any accredited American college or university. Anyone of any background, pursuing any academic discipline of study, may apply to this non-partisan, need-blind, program.
 
NEW - COLLEGE BOARD OPPORTUNITY SCHOLARSHIPS - STARTING FOR THE CLASS OF 2020
 
 
The more effort you put in, the more opportunities you have to earn a scholarship. Complete all six TASKS, and you’re eligible to earn $40,000. Scholarships will be awarded through monthly drawings to students who complete each action.
