Band places 2nd in Canyon Lake Competition

THS Band and Color Guard braved the elements Saturday, October 13th to compete at the Comal Classic Marching Festival in New Braunfels. Performing first in class 4A, students faced temperatures in the low 50s with wind chills in the upper 30s to low 40s. In addition, winds gusted out of the north, wreaking havoc on the props and the color guard. However, despite the conditions that improved greatly as the day progressed, the band placed in 2nd in Class 4A losing only to Canyon Lake. Taylor scored higher than Wimberley, La Vernia, Gonzales, and Llano. The band travels to Giddings for UIL Competition on Saturday the 19th.
