Summer Earn and Learn

The Texas Workforce Commission is offering work-based learning opportunities for students 16-22 years of age with disabilities to explore careers, gain new work experience, learn new transferable skills, and earn money. The application deadline is April 18th.

STAAR Testing Next Week

Students will be taking the English 1 STAAR test on Tuesday, April 9 and the English II STAAR Test on Thursday, April 11. Students must arrive on campus on time and should plan on a good night's sleep as well as a nutritious breakfast. The campus will be closed to visitors during these days.

Lifetouch, who captures school pictures for Taylor ISD, has recently partnered with Shutterfly to capture, preserve, and share life's joy. Now, any digital school purchases can be added to your Shutterfly account and stored for free. Plus, Shutterfly will give 8% back to THS when using the storefront for purchases.

Art Show - March 22nd

THS Visual Arts Department will hold the 6th annual Taylor High School Art Show. The evening will showcase artwork created by art students in Mrs. Barnett's and Mr. Gray's art classes--from Art 1 through AP Studio and Beginning Through Advanced Ceramics. Metal art from Mr. Bishop's welding students will also be on display, as well as work from the amazing teachers and staff at THS. Mrs. Martin's culinary students will provide food and drinks for the evening event. Help us celebrate our amazing artists during Youth Art Month, Friday, March 22nd, starting at 7pm, at Taylor High School.

2018 Cross Country Season

Eli Ortiz finished 6th out of 152 runners in the state Saturday at the UIL State Cross Country Championships at Old Settlers Park in Round Rock.  Eli ran an impressive 16:12 on this tough, hilly course in some brutal winds. Find meet results and details from Coach Shelli Cobb here.
